Company History

The Beginning

The business was founded by Caryl Fuchs in 1979 under the name of Office Telecommunications and Secretarial Services (OTSS Business Centres). The concept of business centres came originally from America in the 1970’s, and OTSS was one of the first to open in the U.K.

Dr Harry Fuchs joined the company and in 1991, when there were four centres, sold the company. Three years later City Executive Centres was established and bought back the centres that OTSS had sold plus one other.

Over the next few years the company expanded its operation into Mayfair, London, where instead of using its own buildings for business centres, it managed and ran business centres for landlords.

City Executive Centres has a unique product, which is to set up and manage business centres on behalf of landlords and tenants, enabling them to generate income from their vacant space. This makes us a management company. This has proved to be very successful with landlords seeing the opportunity to increase their return on their buildings, by CEC setting up and managing serviced office centres within their buildings.
